Apple just announced the latest release of their mobile operating system at their WWDC in the form of iOS 7 which is expected to hit iPhone, iPad and similar devices soon this year.

The new set of announcements are aimed at providing a better experience for mobile app developers to integrate Facebook into their applications. Though most of the announcement concerns iOS devices, further updates for the Android platform are to be expected soon.
Whatsapp has announced that it will be moving to a yearly subscription model for new users on iOS in a manner similar to other platforms such as Android, Blackberry etc. It has said that the change in subscription strategy is to make things simpler and bring uniformity across all platforms.

In order to combat excessive bait and switch scammers trying to promote their apps by posting fake screenshots immediately after their apps are approved for the App Store, Apple has now stopped allowing developers from updating the screenshots until a legitimate binary update is posted accompanying them.
Ford has announced that developers will now be able to develop mobile apps that can be enabled to access in-car controls and interact with the user primarily through voice commands.
