After announcing the availability of its app store in more than 200 countries all over the world, Amazon is now all set to release app enagement reports to track app usage data for mobile app developers.
Google has banned all apps installed from the Play Store to update themselves without using the official update mechanism or in a way that bypasses the Play Store. This move will not affect apps that are sideloaded or are installed from sources other than the Play Store.
The new set of announcements are aimed at providing a better experience for mobile app developers to integrate Facebook into their applications. Though most of the announcement concerns iOS devices, further updates for the Android platform are to be expected soon.

Devices using this service can be managed through the Blackberry Enterprise Service 10 offering, which was recently announced as a cross platform service.
The new Sync API is expected to make life easier for app developers on Android and iOS platforms. It now automatically handles caching, syncing and allows working on files when the user is offline.
