Google has finally made an official announcement regarding the availability of Google Checkout in India which will allow Indian developers to sell paid apps.
Google just backtracked from its earlier update and removed India from the list of countries where Google Checkout is supported. Developers in India will not be able to sell paid apps in the Play Store for the time being.
Google recently added India to the list of locations supported for merchants to receive payments. This will allow developers in India to sell paid applications and enable in-app purchases.
