Indian entrepreneurs launch their startup CloudMunch at AWS re:Invent conference

Describing itself as a Platform as a Service (PaaS) for DevOps, a startup by Indians named CloudMunch got an opportunity to launch itself at the AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas. It was one of the eight startups among hundreds that are building on AWS which were allowed to present their solution which is currently being used by more than 30 customers like Beyond Square, Bizosys Technologies, Compassites, Evam Technologies, Jamcracker, LogicMatter, Tarento, Thinking Hut, and Wolken Software, according to the company. Among the seven other startups were Alegion, Animoto, Averail, BitYota, Mortar, PunchTab, and ThisLife.

“AWS helps companies get started by offering a technology infrastructure with no capital expense and low pay as you go pricing, and providing a technology platform with broad functionality and global scale. This year, at the first AWS re: Invent conference, we have created a dynamic, live stage environment for start-up companies to launch publicly for the first time,” said Ariel Kelman, Head of Worldwide Marketing, AWS.

The company has been founded by former Infosys employees Pradeep Prabhu and Prasanna Raghavendra. Pradeep Prabhu, CEO and co-founder of CloudMunch said, “CloudMunch provides in-context, real time analytics for the entire application lifecycle. Our mission is to let development teams focus on code and innovation, and in the process, raise the bar on software delivery speed and quality.”

CloudMunch builds on the premise that software development companies today need to interface with a lot of different tools and distributed teams for each of these make it difficult to focus on the actual work. CloudMunch is an orchestration engine that manages the entire cloud application development lifecycle and channels it into a single workflow process. With the help of this platform, the developers will be able to Build-Deploy-Test-Run and manage everything related to the application on the cloud itself.  CloudMunch is available in two editions: a Team Edition and a new Developer Edition that was released recently. The developer edition is for individual developers and provides an easy way for them to run applications on AWS. In a nut shell, it is the first such orchestration engine that allows plug and play usability to each of these tools.
