What is Edge Reflow about?
Edge Reflow is all about responsive design. It basically is a tool that assists and really helps you as a designer to build a very clean coded website layout using best practices. We support you by doing it the right way. So instead of writing or making changes in CSS, I could just change gradient components. It’s very early days for Reflow.
So you see a new market for web developers?
Yes, absolutely. Also, there are some very strict web developers out there who are all about web standards and open source. In the past when we had solutions such as Flash, they preferred tools that could work across platforms and were open and have been looking for light tools that work around open standards. So there was a gap and a growing need for a good tool in that area. We’re still working on that, and Code is our attempt.
If you’re looking at working on specific documents and combination of files, then while you’re working on HTML, you can hit a specific tag, hit Ctrl+E and it will open up the CSS right there in the same page as the HTML. This way you don’t have to jump back and forth between HTML and CSS. Also the language for extending Code is HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The tool itself is built on web standards.
