This conference is seen as India’s attempt to showcase inspire, learn and dialogue for creators and enthusiasts of computer, mobile, console, web and social games. This year the expected turnout is about 1200 industry professionals, which also reflects the rapidly growing Indian gaming industry.

Our team caught up with Rajeev Vaishnav, Vice President-Member Outreach, NASSCOM, and got an early preview of what to expect at this year’s event.

According to Vaishnav, the NASSCOM Gaming Forum was set up six years ago and now this annual NASSCOM Game Developers Conference has become one of the premier industry events in India. Currently the NGDC lays down a common platform for developers and businesses within the Indian gaming industry, especially the booming indie game development community, to share best practices and knowledge among them.

The Gaming Forum has Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore as five of its active members city. Each of them hosts the developer meet-ups on a regular basis.

This year’s NASSCOM Game Developer conference see will see attendees from gaming enthusiasts and aspiring developers besides the gaming experts. We also expect student from software engineering field, animators and game designers to attend this conference.
