Intel diligence

What programs does Intel run (or plan to) to further development and developer communities in India?

Intel is working on educating young and professional developers on the platform technologies and capabilities of Intel which can result in innovative applications and business models. Intel is offering focused trainings through various events, webinars and community meet ups.

Intel is also investing in hardware seed systems to allow the developers to use the new Intel technology for application development. Intel has been working with Indian software developers over the last 8-9 years to make them ware possibilities of parallel programming.

Intel is also recognizing the community contribution from Indian developers by a Black belt program which allows developers to get visibility and expert status recognition.

Intel will be promoting its developer program to Indian software developers and will provide access to software tools , SDKs , training and community support. The developer engagement is also happening through various social media properties of Intel Developer Zone including Facebook , Twitter and YouTube content channels.

Recently Intel combined its efforts and energies from being diverted across Intel Software, Intel App Up, etc to form a consolidated presence on Intel Developer Zone. What were the learnings that lead to this move, and what should developers in India look forward to from IDZ?

The Intel® Developer Zone is a global program for the software community that offers insights, information, expertise and tools to help drive innovation and success among developers. The program gives members the opportunity to connect and collaborate, share knowledge, learn and grow professionally. In addition, members have access to a wide variety of opportunities to market and sell their software and apps directly to consumers and tap into opportunities to help them grow their businesses. The Intel Developer Zone is designed to create value for anyone involved in creating and selling software that’s used on Intel-based devices and differs from other software programs that focus on a particular subset of software. Other resources that communicate and share new ideas with developers include Intel® Software Adrenaline program and The Parallel Universe quarterly magazine.

Providing a one common program helps Intel to address software developers and partners in a more coherent way and helps to connect and collaborate more effectively. The Intel Developer Zone communities are now able to explore content and software tools from various Intel® groups and are able to take an informed decision without a need of searching individual sources. The Indian developers have seen a great value in the Intel® Developer zone and which has been substantiated with increased traffic and engagements from Indian developers on Intel® Developer zone.
