The company recently partnered with Motorola to launch the first Android One smartphone in the United States and with that they also introduced a trade-in program for Project Fi customers. Now, we can see they have brought an expanded version of this trade-in program to the Google Store for those who want to purchase a Pixel phone.
It was only a couple of days ago when we learned of Project Fi’s trade-in program for select Nexus devices. For most, that seemed to be a major drawback to the program as it was limited to Nexus devices in the first place. Not only that, but you were only able to get up to $165 and most will get less than that due to the checks and requirements they have.
It was speculated that Google would bring a trade-in program to the Google Store for the launch of the new Pixel phones, but it looks like that happened early.
