Some of these changes may include DNS over TLS support, IPPS-only printers, Google Cast notification fixes and more! We’ll have to confirm each of these individually, but all of these were merged into AOSP so should be in Android 8.1.
Amongst these changes, we can also see that Google has implemented support for the Neural Networks API for machine learning, lower RAM device improvements and some other changes too.
As always, the developer preview can only be downloaded on Google Pixel and Nexus devices. This will likely be the final release for the Nexus line. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are the only Nexus devices to receive the developer preview, and this is likely the final upgrade they will receive. The Nexus devices were slated to release their final major updates in September 2017, but it seems Google is upgrading both devices to version 8.1.
